Unit 2 Formation of Solar System: FAQ

Storyline

The solar system forms from the rotation of a nebular cloud.  Objects in the solar system stay in orbit due to the balance between the gravitational pull and the inertia of the object orbiting it.  The motion of orbiting objects can be modeled mathematically and can predict the movement of orbiting objects.
